Technical Dossier
The Allen-Bradley 80190 Series drive boards are internal control and power interface assemblies designed for use within Rockwell Automation's 1336 PLUS, 1336 PLUS II, and 1336 IMPACT AC variable frequency drive (VFD) platforms. These drives are deployed extensively across global heavy industry sectors including petrochemical refineries, nuclear auxiliary systems, pulp and paper mills, water treatment facilities, and offshore oil and gas platforms. The 80190 Series boards serve as the functional backbone of the drive's gate firing, regulation, and I/O interface architecture. Due to the long operational lifecycle of 1336-family drives — many installations dating to the early 1990s — the 80190 Series remains one of the most actively sourced spare part families in the industrial automation aftermarket.
The 80190 Series was introduced as a modular sub-assembly standard within Rockwell Automation's 1336 drive platform during the early 1990s. Early revisions (Rev A/B) supported analog reference inputs and basic V/Hz control. Mid-generation boards (Rev C/D) introduced enhanced flux vector control compatibility and expanded fault diagnostics via the HIM (Human Interface Module) interface. Later revisions incorporated improved EMI filtering and extended temperature tolerance for harsh environment installations. The series reached end-of-production (EOP) status progressively between 2008 and 2015 as Rockwell transitioned customers toward the PowerFlex 400, 700, and 755 platforms. However, due to the capital cost of full drive replacement and the criticality of existing installations, the 80190 Series remains in active service globally. Compatibility between board revisions requires careful cross-referencing of firmware version, drive frame size, and horsepower rating. Substitution errors between similar part numbers can result in drive faults or permanent damage to the power section.
The following SKUs represent verified, commonly sourced components within the Allen-Bradley 80190 drive board family. All units are classified by functional role within the 1336 drive architecture:
Control & Regulation Boards
Gate Driver & Firing Boards
Power Interface & Precharge Boards
I/O & Communication Interface Boards
Power Supply Boards
