Technical Dossier
The 330130 extension cable series was introduced alongside the Bently Nevada 3300 system platform in the 1980s as a standardized interconnect solution replacing field-fabricated cables. Early variants used a fixed-impedance coaxial construction with BNC-style connectors, calibrated to maintain the –18 Vdc Proximitor bias voltage and 200 mV/mil (7.87 V/mm) output sensitivity across defined cable lengths. As the platform evolved into the 3300 XL and subsequently the 3500 Series, the 330130 cable specification was retained for backward compatibility — a deliberate design decision that extended the service life of existing probe-cable-Proximitor assemblies.
Cable length is a critical system parameter: the total system cable length (probe + extension) must match the Proximitor sensor's calibrated range. Standard total lengths are 5 m, 9 m, 15 m, and 25 m. The extension cable compensates for the fixed probe cable length (typically 0.5 m or 1 m) to reach the target total. Connector terminations use industry-standard MIL-spec coaxial connectors with gold-plated contacts for corrosion resistance. Jacket materials are rated for continuous service at temperatures from –55°C to +125°C, with options for armored construction in high-mechanical-risk installations. The series entered a mature/end-of-production lifecycle phase; Bently Nevada (now a Baker Hughes brand) no longer manufactures new units, making aftermarket sourcing and certified refurbishment the primary supply channel for maintenance and capital spares programs.
The following SKUs represent the verified 330130 series extension cable catalog, organized by cable length and connector configuration. Each part number encodes length, connector type, and jacket specification.
