The 330930 extension cable series was introduced as part of Bently Nevada's transition from the legacy 3300 series transducer ecosystem toward the 3300 XL platform in the mid-1990s. Early-generation cables used a standard coaxial construction with RG-type inner conductors and basic polyurethane jacketing, suitable for ambient-temperature installations. As industrial environments demanded higher thermal tolerance and chemical resistance, the cable jacket material evolved to incorporate armored and high-temperature variants, reflected in the suffix coding system (e.g., -00 for standard, -01 for armored).
The introduction of the NSv (Non-contacting Velocity) measurement standard required tighter impedance tolerances across the cable assembly, driving a redesign of the connector termination and shielding architecture.
