ABB's robot controller lineage progressed through S3, S4, S4C, S4C+, and IRC5 generations. The DSQC639 replaced the earlier DSQC609 (3HAC020454-001) main computer used in early IRC5 builds, introducing a faster processor, expanded RAM, and improved CompactFlash-based OS storage.
