Technical Dossier
The HVA 11210 Series gate valves are precision-engineered isolation valves designed for demanding process environments including chemical plants, oil refineries, nuclear facilities, and heavy industrial installations. The 11210 series represents HVA's standardized flanged gate valve platform, covering nominal bore sizes from DN15 to DN300 and pressure ratings from PN10 to PN40. These valves are specified by process engineers globally for their full-bore flow path, bi-directional sealing capability, and compatibility with both manual and actuated operation. The 11210-0203RS-001 is a representative model within this series, configured with a rising stem, solid wedge gate, and RS (resilient seat) sealing technology suitable for water, steam, and non-aggressive fluid services.
The HVA 11210 gate valve series was introduced as part of HVA's industrial valve standardization program targeting EN 1171 and DIN 3352 compliance. Early production variants (pre-2000) used bronze body construction with metal-seated wedges, primarily targeting steam and high-temperature service. The mid-generation 11210 RS (Resilient Seat) variants introduced EPDM and NBR elastomer seating, extending the series into potable water, HVAC, and low-pressure process applications in compliance with EN 1074-2. The current production range integrates ductile iron (GGG-40 / EN-GJS-400-15) bodies with epoxy coating for corrosion resistance, and is compatible with ISO 5210 actuator mounting flanges for automated process control integration. Older metal-seated variants are now classified as end-of-life (EOL) by HVA, with resilient-seat models remaining in active production. Cross-compatibility between generations requires verification of face-to-face dimensions per EN 558 Series 1/14 and flange drilling per EN 1092-2.
The following SKUs represent verified models within the HVA 11210 gate valve series, organized by configuration and service class:
Resilient Seat (RS) Variants — Water & Low-Pressure Service
Metal Seat (MS) Variants — Steam & High-Temperature Service (Legacy/EOL)
Actuated / ISO-Flange Variants
The metal-seat (MS) sub-series of the HVA 11210 range has been discontinued by the OEM. DriveKNMS maintains a dedicated inventory of new-old-stock (NOS) and reconditioned units for the MS variants, supporting plant operators who cannot perform like-for-like replacement without process re-engineering. For resilient-seat variants, DriveKNMS stocks both current-production units and verified surplus inventory across DN50–DN200 bore sizes. All sourced units are cross-referenced against HVA's original part numbering schema to prevent counterfeit substitution. Customers operating aging installations with mixed MS/RS configurations can request a full BOM audit service to identify consolidation opportunities and reduce long-term maintenance complexity.
Each HVA 11210 series gate valve processed by DriveKNMS undergoes a structured inspection protocol prior to dispatch. Dimensional verification covers face-to-face length (EN 558), flange drilling pattern (EN 1092-2), and stem thread pitch. Seat integrity is tested via hydrostatic shell test at 1.5× PN rating and seat leakage test per EN 12266-1 Rate A (zero leakage for resilient seat) or Rate D (metal seat). Stem packing gland torque is verified and re-greased where applicable. For actuated variants, ISO 5210 mounting interface dimensions are confirmed against the declared actuator bracket specification. Units with visible corrosion, pitting on the gate face, or deformed body flanges are rejected and not offered for resale. Test records are retained and available upon request for quality-critical installations.
