Technical Dossier
The Delta DOP Series represents Delta Electronics' primary Human-Machine Interface (HMI) product line, deployed across global heavy industry sectors including petrochemical plants, nuclear power auxiliary systems, oil refineries, water treatment facilities, and discrete manufacturing. With installations spanning Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas, the DOP Series has established a dominant position as a cost-effective, field-proven HMI platform compatible with Delta's DVP and AS series PLCs as well as third-party controllers via standard communication protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP, PROFIBUS, EtherNet/IP, CANopen).
The DOP-A10TCTD is a 10.1-inch TFT LCD capacitive touch panel within the DOP-A sub-series, featuring 1024×600 resolution, dual Ethernet ports, USB host/device interfaces, and support for up to 8,000 internal memory registers. It is rated for industrial environments with an operating temperature range of 0–50°C and front panel IP65 protection.
The DOP Series has progressed through three distinct architectural generations since its introduction in the early 2000s:
Generation 1 — DOP-A Series (2003–2010): Based on ARM9 processors with resistive touch technology, serial RS-232/RS-485 communication, and proprietary Delta Screen Editor software. Display sizes ranged from 3.5 to 10.4 inches. These units are now fully discontinued and classified as end-of-life (EOL) by Delta Electronics. Replacement parts including touch glass, backlights, and main boards are no longer available through official channels, making third-party MRO suppliers the only viable source for lifecycle extension.
Generation 2 — DOP-B Series (2010–2018): Introduced ARM Cortex-A8 architecture, resistive and capacitive touch options, expanded communication ports (Ethernet, USB), and compatibility with DOPSoft 2.x. This generation remains in active use across installed bases globally. Some models have entered the discontinuation phase, with Delta providing limited spare parts support.
Generation 3 — DOP-100 / DOP-W Series (2018–Present): Current production platform. Features ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core processors, capacitive multi-touch, HDMI output options, 64-bit color TFT displays, and DOPSoft 4.x compatibility. Backward-compatible with DOP-B project files via conversion utility. This generation represents Delta's strategic direction for new installations.
Compatibility note: DOP-A and DOP-B series units use different communication cable pinouts and power supply specifications. Direct substitution between generations requires hardware adaptation and software migration.
DOP-A Series (Resistive Touch, Legacy — EOL)
DOP-B Series (Resistive/Capacitive Touch, Mature — Partial EOL)

Q: How is condition confirmed before quotation?
A: Available condition, photos, test records and documentation are checked according to the requested model and sourcing channel before a formal RFQ response.
DOP Series HMI panels integrate complex backplane communication buses, capacitive touch controllers, and multi-port Ethernet PHY circuits that require protocol-level validation beyond standard power-on testing. DriveKNMS applies the following test procedures to all DOP Series units prior to shipment:
