Technical Dossier
The GE Mark VI Turbine Control System is one of the most widely deployed distributed control platforms in heavy industrial environments globally. Installed across combined-cycle power plants, oil refineries, petrochemical complexes, LNG terminals, and nuclear auxiliary systems, the Mark VI architecture provides redundant, triple-modular-redundant (TMR) or simplex control for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generator protection systems. The IS200IGPAG2AED is the IGPA (Intelligent Gate Power Amplifier) board within this ecosystem — a critical interface module responsible for gate drive signal conditioning between the control core and the power electronics stage of the excitation or static starter subsystem.
GE's turbine control lineage progressed from the Mark I relay-based systems of the 1960s through the Mark II, Mark III, and Mark IV digital transition platforms, culminating in the Mark V (introduced ~1991) and the Mark VI (introduced ~1995–1997). The Mark VI introduced a fully digital, VME-bus-based backplane with fiber-optic I/O communication (IONet) and redundant controller boards (VCMI, VCRC, VCRH). The IS200-prefix boards represent the second-generation Mark VI hardware revision, offering improved EMI tolerance and extended temperature ratings versus the original IS200 Rev A boards.
Compatibility note: IS200-series boards are generally not backward-compatible with Mark V (DS200/DS215-prefix) hardware without engineering re-configuration. The Mark VIe (introduced ~2005) uses a different backplane and Ethernet-based I/O (EtherNet/IP), making IS200-series boards non-interchangeable with IS420-prefix Mark VIe modules. Sites running mixed Mark VI / Mark VIe architectures must maintain separate spare parts inventories for each platform generation.

Q: How are RFQ terms confirmed?
A: Quantity, required condition, documentation needs, destination and sourcing route are confirmed during RFQ review before quotation.
Q: How is condition confirmed before quotation?
A: Available condition, photos, test records and documentation are checked according to the requested model and sourcing channel before a formal RFQ response.
Mark VI boards — particularly gate drive and power amplifier modules such as the IS200IGPAG2AED — require specialized test procedures due to their high-frequency switching circuits and fiber-optic communication interfaces. DriveKNMS applies the following test protocol to all IS200-series boards prior to dispatch:
