Q: How are RFQ terms confirmed?
A: Quantity, required condition, documentation needs, destination and sourcing route are confirmed during RFQ review before quotation.
The Honeywell TDC 3000 was the backbone of process automation for a generation of industrial facilities. Its architecture — built around the Local Control Network (LCN), the Universal Control Network (UCN), and a structured hierarchy of I/O modules — was designed for reliability, not for easy replacement. The DC-TDOB01 digital output module sits at the field interface layer of this architecture, translating controller commands into discrete on/off signals for field devices: valves, motors, relays, and safety interlocks.
Because the TDC 3000 uses a proprietary backplane and communication protocol, there is no cross-brand substitute. A failed DC-TDOB01 cannot be replaced with a generic PLC output card. The only options are: source an original replacement module, or undertake a full DCS migration. For facilities running continuous processes — where a planned shutdown costs tens of thousands of dollars per hour — the economics of sourcing a spare module are not a question of preference. They are a matter of operational survival.
DriveKNMS applies a 5-step qualification process to every DC-TDOB01 unit before it leaves our facility:
How do I know the unit is genuine and not counterfeit?
Every unit is sourced through documented supply chain channels. Physical markings, PCB revision codes, and component configurations are verified against known-good reference units. Counterfeit detection is part of our standard intake process.
Should I buy more than one unit?
For any facility running a TDC 3000 system without a planned migration date within the next three years, holding a minimum of two DC-TDOB01 spares is a defensible maintenance strategy. Secondary market availability for this part is declining. Units available today may not be available at the next failure event.
Can you source other TDC 3000 modules?
Yes. DriveKNMS specializes in the full TDC 3000 / TPS hardware ecosystem. Contact us with your complete bill of materials for a consolidated sourcing assessment.
