The Honeywell TC Series represents the field I/O module family deployed within the Experion PKS (Process Knowledge System) and legacy TotalPlant Solution (TPS) distributed control architectures. These modules are installed across the most demanding continuous-process industries globally — petroleum refining, petrochemical complexes, LNG terminals, nuclear power generation, and large-scale chemical manufacturing. A single Experion PKS installation may contain hundreds of TC Series I/O modules distributed across multiple controller cabinets, making individual module availability a direct operational risk factor. The TC Series interfaces field instruments to the C300 Controller via the Series C I/O Link, a deterministic, fault-tolerant communication bus designed for process-critical environments.
