The third generation (KR C4 platform, 2008–2018) standardized on the 00-178-xxx series — including 00-178-915 (A1/A2 axis reducer, high-torque variant) and 00-178-916 (A3/A4 axis reducer, mid-torque variant) — featuring improved backlash compensation and compatibility with KUKA's SmartPAD diagnostic interface.
