KPP600 units present specific test challenges due to their integrated DC bus architecture and multi-output topology. DriveKNMS applies the following test protocol to all KPP600 units prior to dispatch: (1) Visual inspection of DC bus capacitor banks for electrolytic degradation, case deformation, and terminal corrosion. (2) IGBT gate driver circuit verification using isolated gate signal injection at rated switching frequency. (3) DC bus voltage regulation test under stepped resistive load from 10% to 100% of rated output current, with voltage ripple measurement. (4) Regenerative braking circuit functional test: controlled deceleration load applied, energy recovery waveform captured and compared against factory reference. (5) Thermal imaging under full-load 30-minute burn-in to identify hot spots on heatsink and power semiconductor junctions. (6) Backplane connector pin continuity and contact resistance measurement to KUKA KR C4 cabinet interface specification. (7) Firmware version verification and compatibility check against target KR C4 software release. All test data is logged and supplied with the unit on dispatch.
