Technical Dossier
DriveKNMS reviews sourcing options for this model through RFQ handling before quotation.
Q: How are RFQ terms confirmed?
A: Quantity, required condition, documentation needs, destination and sourcing route are confirmed during RFQ review before quotation.
The KUKA KRC1 and KRC2 platforms were the backbone of automotive and general manufacturing automation through the 1990s and 2000s. Tens of thousands of these controllers remain in active production service globally. KUKA's official end-of-life declaration for KRC2 hardware left a large installed base without a factory support path.
The ESC-PLATINE is the safety monitoring board responsible for processing emergency stop signals, safety gate inputs, and operator protection circuits within the KRC controller cabinet. It is not a peripheral component. Without a functioning ESC-PLATINE, the robot cannot be released from safety hold. There is no software patch, no firmware workaround, and no adjacent component that substitutes for it.
DriveKNMS applies a 5-stage quality protocol to every ESC-PLATINE unit before it leaves our facility:
Q: Can you confirm compatibility with my specific KRC controller before I order?
A: Yes. Provide your KRC controller serial number and software version when you contact us. We will confirm the correct board revision before dispatch review.
