The Evolution of E94 Architecture

The E94 platform was introduced by Lenze in the early 2000s as the successor to the 9300 servo inverter range, consolidating servo and vector control into a single hardware family. The initial release covered the E94ASxE axis controller range with integrated safety via the E94AYAE parameter and keypad module. Subsequent hardware revisions introduced the E94AYCET EtherCAT communication module and the E94AYCPN PROFINET adapter, extending the platform's compatibility with Ethernet-based industrial networks that became dominant after 2008. The E94AYCCO CANopen module and E94AYCPB PROFIBUS DP adapter addressed legacy installations in automotive and food processing sectors.
