The R. STAHL 9182 Series is a family of intrinsically safe temperature transmitters engineered for deployment in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas under ATEX and IECEx certification frameworks. These devices are installed across global heavy industry sectors including petrochemical refineries, offshore oil & gas platforms, nuclear auxiliary systems, and large-scale chemical processing plants. Quality Control for the 9182 Range

The 9182 series presents specific quality verification requirements due to its intrinsic safety certification dependencies and analog signal chain precision. STAHL factory standards. (2) Insulation resistance test between input, output, and power supply circuits to verify galvanic isolation integrity (minimum 100 MΩ at 500 VDC). (3) Functional loop test: application of calibrated RTD simulation (Pt100 decade box) and TC millivolt source across the full input range; output current verified at 4.00 mA (0%), 12.00 mA (50%), and 20.00 mA (100%) with ±0.05 mA tolerance. (4) HART communication verification (where applicable): connection to HART communicator to confirm device descriptor, PV mapping, and alarm configuration registers. (5) Ambient temperature soak test at −20 °C and +60 °C to verify output stability across operating range. All test data is logged and available to customers upon request as a unit-level certificate of conformance.
