The Schneider Electric Modicon Quantum platform is one of the most widely deployed Distributed Control System (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) architectures in global heavy industry. Installed across petrochemical refineries, nuclear power generation facilities, offshore oil & gas platforms, and large-scale chemical processing plants, the Quantum series established a benchmark for high-availability, rack-based I/O architecture throughout the 1990s and 2000s.
