The Evolution of MOVIDRIVE MDX60B/61B Architecture

SEW-EURODRIVE introduced the MOVIDRIVE B generation as the successor to the MOVIDRIVE A (MDV60A/61A) platform, with production of the B-series commencing in the early 2000s. The architectural shift from A to B introduced a unified parameter structure (MOVITOOLS MotionStudio), improved EMC filtering, and a standardized fieldbus option card slot (SBus, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, CANopen, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET) that replaced the fixed-protocol variants of the A-series.
