The Evolution of ETT1233 Architecture

SIGMATEK's HMI panel lineup evolved from early passive display units used in the DIAS-1 generation to the active touch-enabled ETT series introduced alongside the S-DIAS platform. The ETT1233 belongs to the second-generation ETT family, characterized by resistive touch input, integrated backlight control, and direct DIAS bus connectivity without an external display controller card.

Early SIGMATEK HMI solutions required separate display interface modules (e.g., the DIS series) to bridge CPU outputs to panel inputs. The ETT architecture consolidated this into a single unit, reducing panel wiring complexity.
