Installed across petrochemical refineries, nuclear power stations, offshore platforms, LNG terminals, and rotating machinery monitoring systems, the 330180 Series serves as the signal conditioning interface between proximity probes and the 3300 Series monitoring system. Its role is critical: converting raw eddy-current probe signals into standardized DC voltage outputs that feed vibration, position, and speed data to plant DCS and safety instrumented systems (SIS). The series is fully compatible with API 670 machinery protection standards and remains the reference standard for turbine, compressor, and pump shaft monitoring in continuous-process industries.
The 330180 Proximitor was introduced as part of Bently Nevada's 3300 Series platform, designed to replace earlier 7200 Series and 3000 Series signal conditioners. The core architecture uses a Proximitor oscillator-demodulator circuit tuned to operate with 3300 XL 8mm, 11mm, and 14mm probe systems at a nominal gap voltage of -10.0 VDC.
