Bently Nevada 990 Series Technical Notes

The Bently Nevada 990 Series vibration transmitter is a field-mounted, 4–20 mA output transducer system engineered for continuous machinery protection in heavy industrial environments. Deployed across petrochemical refineries, nuclear power stations, offshore platforms, LNG terminals, and rotating equipment trains worldwide, the 990 Series occupies a critical position in the global condition monitoring infrastructure. Its two-wire loop-powered architecture allows direct integration with existing DCS and PLC analog input cards without auxiliary power supplies, reducing installation complexity in hazardous-area installations classified to ATEX Zone 1 and FM Class I Division 1 standards. The series interfaces natively with Bently Nevada 3300, 3500, and ADRE 408 DSPi systems, making it the preferred field device for plants operating legacy Bently Nevada machinery protection frameworks.
