Technical Dossier
The Fuji Electric OPC-G11S series is the dedicated option card platform for the FRENIC-G11S and FRENIC-Lift inverter families, deployed globally in elevator and escalator drive systems. These option cards extend the base inverter's capabilities by adding encoder feedback (PG), fieldbus communication interfaces, and I/O expansion. The FRENIC-G11S platform holds a significant installed base in commercial and high-rise building elevator systems across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Long-term spare parts availability is a critical operational requirement for building maintenance contractors, elevator OEM service teams, and facilities management organizations operating legacy Fuji Electric drive infrastructure.
The OPC-G11S option card architecture was introduced alongside the FRENIC-G11S inverter series, engineered specifically for closed-loop elevator motion control applications. The platform uses a proprietary high-density backplane connector that interfaces directly with the inverter's main control board, enabling high-speed serial data exchange between the option card and the primary DSP at 2.5 Mbps. Early hardware revisions of the PG (pulse generator) cards supported single-ended encoder inputs with a maximum pulse count of 1024 PPR. Subsequent hardware revisions introduced differential line driver input support and extended pulse count compatibility up to 4096 PPR, improving noise immunity in elevator shaft environments subject to high electromagnetic interference from traction motors and door operator circuits. The SA530733-02 revision designation identifies the second-generation hardware build of the OPC-G11S-PGA card, incorporating revised component tolerances and updated gate driver circuitry. As the FRENIC-G11S series has entered its end-of-life phase, Fuji Electric has ceased volume production of most option card variants. Aftermarket sourcing, refurbished stock, and new-old-stock (NOS) units now constitute the primary supply channel for ongoing maintenance and emergency replacement operations.
The following SKUs represent the verified option card range for the FRENIC-G11S and FRENIC-Lift inverter platforms, classified by function:

The FRENIC-G11S inverter series has been discontinued by Fuji Electric, and volume production of associated option cards — including the SA530733-02 OPC-G11S-PGA — has ceased. DriveKNMS maintains a dedicated inventory of tested, refurbished, and new-old-stock (NOS) OPC-G11S option cards to support lifecycle extension for elevator systems that cannot be economically upgraded to current inverter platforms such as the FRENIC-Ace or FRENIC-MEGA series. Our sourcing network covers original Fuji Electric authorized distributor overstock, decommissioned building equipment recovered from elevator modernization projects, and verified third-party refurbishers operating under ISO 9001 quality management systems. All units are cross-referenced against the original Fuji Electric part number database to prevent counterfeit substitution. For obsolete variants with no available stock, DriveKNMS provides cross-reference consultation to identify compatible replacement cards from current Fuji Electric product lines or functionally equivalent third-party alternatives, including firmware compatibility verification for the target inverter firmware revision.
OPC-G11S option cards interface with the FRENIC-G11S inverter via a high-density backplane connector and communicate over a proprietary serial bus at 2.5 Mbps. The following test procedures are applied to all OPC-G11S units processed by DriveKNMS:
All units that pass the full test sequence are issued a DriveKNMS test certificate and are eligible for a 12-month replacement warranty.
