Technical Dossier
The IC600 platform progressed through three identifiable hardware generations. The first generation (circa 1982–1987) established the physical backplane standard: a passive bus carrying a 16-bit parallel data path, dedicated I/O addressing lines, and a +5 VDC / ±15 VDC power distribution rail. CPU modules in this era — including the IC600CB501 and IC600CB502 — executed ladder logic at scan rates of 5–20 ms depending on program size, with memory capacities of 4K to 16K words of CMOS RAM backed by lithium battery.
The second generation (circa 1987–1993) introduced enhanced CPU modules (IC600CB503, IC600CB504) with expanded memory (up to 64K words), floating-point coprocessor options, and the Genius Bus communications adapter (IC600BF900) that enabled distributed I/O over a shielded twisted-pair serial bus at 153.6 kbps. This generation also standardized the fault-tolerant power supply form factor (IC600PS501, IC600PS502).
The following catalog covers verified IC600 series part numbers organized by functional category. Each entry reflects a real, documented module type within the Series Six platform.

Power Supply Modules
IC600 modules present specific test challenges due to their passive backplane bus architecture and the age-related degradation patterns common to CMOS-era electronics. DriveKNMS applies the following verification protocol to all IC600 inventory:
