EPRO PR6423 eddy current sensors require specialized verification procedures distinct from standard passive sensor testing. DriveKNMS applies the following protocol to all PR6423 units prior to dispatch: (1) Probe body inspection — coil continuity measurement, insulation resistance test at 500 VDC, and physical inspection of the probe tip and cable jacket for mechanical damage. (2) System-level gap calibration — each probe is bench-tested with its paired CON0xx conditioner against a certified target material (AISI 4140 steel) to verify the output voltage-to-gap linearity curve against EPRO factory specification (typically -4 VDC/mm ±0.5%).
