ControlEdge represents Honeywell's convergence of traditional DCS reliability with modern IIoT-ready architecture, providing deterministic control, redundant communication backbones, and seamless integration with Honeywell's Experion PKS supervisory layer. Its installed base spans hundreds of critical infrastructure sites across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, making long-term spare parts availability a primary operational concern for plant engineers and maintenance managers.
The ControlEdge product line evolved from Honeywell's legacy HC900 and PlantScape platforms, inheriting field-proven I/O bus structures while introducing Ethernet-based supervisory communication. Honeywell's ControlEdge platform follows a structured lifecycle policy, with older firmware media kits and early-generation I/O modules progressively transitioning to limited availability or end-of-sale status. Parts such as SP-EMD160-ESD and early CC-series backplanes are no longer available through standard distribution channels. DriveKNMS maintains a dedicated inventory of new-surplus, refurbished, and tested ControlEdge components to support plants operating under extended maintenance agreements or capital deferral programs. Our sourcing network covers original factory-sealed units, pull-outs from decommissioned systems, and tested-functional modules with documented operational history. For ESD-specific media kits including SP-EMD172-ESD, we provide version-verified copies with original packaging and license documentation where applicable, ensuring compliance with site safety system audit requirements.

For ESD-classified media kits such as SP-EMD172-ESD, package integrity and license key validity are verified prior to shipment.
