The S4000 series presents specific test challenges due to its analog command architecture, multi-axis backplane bus, and resolver interface circuitry. DriveKNMS applies a structured test protocol to all S4000 units prior to shipment. Each drive undergoes DC bus capacitor ESR measurement to assess electrolytic aging, followed by power stage IGBT or MOSFET switching verification under resistive load. The analog command input chain is calibrated against a reference signal generator to confirm gain linearity and offset within OEM tolerance. Resolver interface boards are tested with a reference resolver simulator to verify excitation output and feedback signal processing. Fault code registers are cycled through all documented diagnostic states to confirm front-panel LED and internal logic integrity. Multi-axis chassis units are tested with all module slots populated to verify backplane bus communication and shared DC bus voltage distribution.
