Yaskawa's robot controller CPU architecture evolved through several distinct generations. The XRC controller (late 1990s) used the JANCD-XCP01 and JANCD-XCP01B boards, which operated on a proprietary RISC-based processing architecture with limited memory addressing. The NX100 generation introduced the JANCD-XCP01C (hardware revision HW0382468-B), which expanded real-time task scheduling capacity and introduced dual-port RAM for high-speed backplane communication with servo amplifier boards (JANCD-XIF01, JANCD-XIF02). The subsequent DX100 platform retained partial board-level compatibility with NX100 in certain configurations but introduced the JANCD-YCP01 series as the primary CPU, marking a clean architectural break.
