Technical Dossier
The Yokogawa ADV151 series represents a core family of Digital Input (DI) modules deployed within the Yokogawa CENTUM VP and CENTUM CS 3000 Distributed Control Systems. These modules are installed across critical heavy-industry infrastructure globally, including petrochemical complexes, nuclear power facilities, offshore platforms, and crude oil refineries. The ADV151 line interfaces field-level discrete signals — valve position feedback, motor run status, interlock signals — into the CENTUM process control network via the Vnet/IP or ESB bus backbone. Their role in safety-critical process loops makes long-term parts availability a primary operational concern for plant maintenance engineers.
The following SKUs represent verified, commonly deployed modules within the Yokogawa ADV151 and closely related ADV-series DI/DO/AI/AO/CPU families used in CENTUM CS 3000 and CENTUM VP field control stations. Each entry reflects a distinct hardware configuration.

Digital Output (DO) Modules — ADV161 Series
Analog Input (AI) Modules — ADV551 / ADV557 Series
Analog Output (AO) Modules — ADV561 Series
Communication & Power Modules
ADV151-series modules present specific test challenges due to their multi-channel isolated DI architecture and ESB/Vnet backplane communication protocol. DriveKNMS applies the following test procedures to all ADV151 units prior to shipment: (1) Backplane bus communication verification using a CENTUM-compatible FCS test rack, confirming correct module recognition and channel-level addressing. (2) Per-channel input threshold testing across all 32 channels at rated voltage (24VDC or 48VDC), verifying ON/OFF switching at specified voltage margins. (3) Isolation resistance measurement between channel groups and chassis ground, per IEC 61010 requirements. (4) Terminal block torque and contact resistance verification, critical for S2-revision units with revised terminal specifications. (5) Firmware/hardware revision identification and documentation, ensuring the shipped unit matches the customer's specified revision. Units that fail any stage are quarantined and not returned to available inventory.
