The ATA4D-00 S2 is a 4-channel analog input module designed for field control station (FCS) I/O subsystems, accepting 4–20 mA signals with HART communication capability. It is a core component in both legacy CS 3000 and current CENTUM VP installations.

The Evolution of CENTUM VP / CS 3000 Architecture

YOKOGAWA's CENTUM platform traces its lineage to the CENTUM XL (1993) and CENTUM CS (1995), which established the modular FCS architecture still in use today. The CS 3000 (released 1998) introduced the RIO (Remote I/O) bus and standardized the dual-redundant Vnet/IP communication backbone. CENTUM VP (2008) extended this architecture with Ethernet-based Vnet/IP, OPC-UA integration, and enhanced cybersecurity compliance (IEC 62443).
