Technical Dossier
The CC-P termination assembly series was introduced alongside the Experion PKS platform in the early 2000s as Honeywell's successor to the TDC 3000 and PlantScape control architectures. The initial release established a modular I/O philosophy where termination assemblies (TAs) are physically separated from I/O Link Interface Modules (IOLIMs), enabling field wiring to remain undisturbed during controller or module replacement — a significant operational advantage in live-plant environments.
Analog Input Termination Assemblies
Each CC-P series termination assembly processed by DriveKNMS undergoes a structured inspection and functional verification protocol specific to the Experion PKS backplane and field wiring interface architecture. Inspection steps include: physical examination of the terminal block assembly and field wiring connectors for corrosion, mechanical damage, and contact integrity; continuity verification across all I/O channels using calibrated test equipment; bus connector pin inspection for the IOLIM interface; and where applicable, HART communication loop verification for HART-enabled variants. Modules with IS certification are additionally verified against their original barrier specifications and zone classification markings. All tested units are documented with a test record and shipped with anti-static packaging compliant with IEC 61340-5-1.
