Technical Dossier
The 6SY7010 module family was engineered as the field-replaceable unit (FRU) layer for the SIMOREG DC Master 6RA70 converter chassis. Early production variants (circa 1995–2000) were designed around analog firing pulse generation with discrete IGBT gate driver stages. Subsequent revisions introduced surface-mount component density improvements and enhanced EMC shielding to comply with EN 61800-3 Category C2 requirements. The rectifier bridge assemblies within the 6SY7010 range are rated for three-phase fully controlled thyristor operation, supporting armature current ranges from 15 A up to 3000 A depending on the parent 6RA70 frame size.
The following SKUs represent verified, commonly sourced modules within the 6SY7010 series, classified by functional category:
Rectifier & Thyristor Bridge Assemblies
Firing & Pulse Generation Boards
Power Supply & Auxiliary Electronics
Interface & Signal Conditioning Boards
The 6SY7010 module family presents specific test challenges due to the integration of high-voltage thyristor gate circuits, isolated SMPS topologies, and precision analog signal conditioning on a single replaceable assembly. DriveKNMS applies the following verification protocol to all 6SY7010 units prior to dispatch:
